Zero sleep monitor3/17/2023 If you turn on Sleep Sensing, your sleep-related data is shared with Google Assistant and should be available in the Google Fit app. They use motion, sound and other device and sensor data to work and require you to place the device close to the bed and calibrate the device for your sleeping area. Sleep Sensing features are subject to your permissions and settings. For example, you could set or configure your Nest Hub (2nd gen) to not record sleep disturbance events like coughing and snoring. You can customize your sleep settings for additional privacy. Audio collected during Sleep Sensing is processed on your Nest Hub (2nd gen) only, and it isn't sent to Google. The Nest Hub (2nd gen) doesn’t have a camera, so no distinguishable images of your body or face are generated or used with Sleep Sensing. You should begin to get your sleep results the next day. Once you’ve set up Sleep Sensing, all you have to do is sleep as usual in the spot you configured. There’s nothing to wear or remember to charge. Sleep Sensing can then determine not just when you went to bed and how long you slept but also the quality of your sleep. Other sensors in Nest Hub (2nd gen) detect sounds like snoring and coughing and environmental factors like light and temperature in the room. Motion Sense uses a low-energy radar to detect movement and breathing. Sleep Sensing uses Motion Sense to track the sleep of the person closest to the display. Sleep Sensing isn't currently available in all languages or countries.
